Heat-related illnesses

• Seasonal surveillance ended on September 15. The region experienced three heat waves since the start of seasonal monitoring around June 20 (S25), around June 30 (S26-27), and in mid-August (S33). A summary of the season will be released shortly.

Acute respiratory infections (bronchiolitis, influenza and flu-like illness, COVID-19)

• The vaccination campaign against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 will take place from October 14, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

Asthma at the start of the school year

• As expected, in S37, there was a very sharp increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations among children under 15, linked to the start of the school year.

• An increase in asthma attacks is usually observed each year during the back-to-school period
