Key points

Bronchiolitis

• Activity outside of an epidemic. Low detection of RSV according to the virology laboratories at the Brest and Rennes University Hospitals, despite an upward trend in Rennes. Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

COVID-19

• Decrease in SOS Médecins consultations and hospital emergency room visits. The associated activity rates (all ages) are similar to those observed in 2024. Slight decrease in SARS-CoV-2 detection in respiratory specimens analyzed by the Virology Laboratory at the Rennes University Hospital and a slight increase at the Virology Laboratory at the Brest University Hospital.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

• Non-epidemic activity, very low. Sporadic detection of influenza A virus according to data from the Virology Laboratories at the Brest University Hospital and the Rennes University Hospital since early September.
