SOS Médecins: 63 consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants (S17, 63 in S16)
Sentinelles Network: 77 consultations for acute respiratory infections (ARI) per 100,000 inhabitants (S17, 64 in S16)
LABM (in the city and 3 labs): 336 confirmed cases since the start of surveillance
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
286 facilities with a report that have declared 82 deaths in the facility, including 65 in the 94 facilities with a confirmed case.
Surveillance in hospitals
Oscour® Network: 270 visits for suspected COVID-19 (Week 17 vs. 360 in Week 16)
Hospital laboratories: 2,040 confirmed cases since the start of surveillance
Hospital wards: 393 hospitalized patients, including 52 in intensive care. Brittany is one of the regions with the lowest observed mortality rates in hospitals.
Sentinel intensive care units: 55% of cases aged 65 and older and 69% with at least one comorbidity.
Mortality Surveillance
At the regional level, no excess mortality was detected through week S16.
In Morbihan, excess mortality was observed in week S14 across all age groups: all ages, those aged 15–64, and those aged 65 and older.
No excess mortality has been detected so far in the Breton departments during weeks 15 and 16.
