The National Heat Wave Plan (PNC), which underwent a major overhaul in 2013, remains unchanged in 2014, and the health recommendations for healthcare professionals and the general public have been updated by the High Council for Public Health. The objectives are to protect the public from the effects of a heat wave by implementing appropriate management measures, and to inform and communicate in order to raise awareness and protect the public from the health consequences of a heat wave.
