The 2015 Vaccination Schedule Has Been PublishedThe vaccination schedule outlines the vaccinations recommended for people residing in France based on their age, provides general vaccination recommendations, and offers specific recommendations tailored to special circumstances (increased risk of complications, exposure, or transmission) or occupational exposures.The 2015 schedule does not include any new recommendations for the general population, but only minor changes compared to last year.

General recommendations:

  • Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in girls aged 11 to 14: the number of doses is reduced from three to two.

Recommendations for specific situations:

  • Invasive meningococcal disease caused by serogroup B: vaccination is not recommended as part of a general prevention strategy but is subject to specific recommendations,

  • Mumps: vaccination in situations involving clusters of mumps cases in communities is clarified,

  • Invasive pneumococcal infections: vaccination of individuals with risk factors is updated,

  • Pertussis: To protect infants who cannot yet be vaccinated, the “cocooning” strategy is reinforced for adults in contact with infants under 6 months of age and for healthcare and early childhood professionals,

  • Hepatitis B: A new accelerated vaccination schedule may be offered under certain conditions for achieving immunity,

  • Measles: the conditions for vaccinating children aged 6 to 11 months exposed to a case of measles are clarified,

  • Tetanus: recommendations for wound care based on the type of injury have been updated.

In addition, the schedule includes specific vaccination recommendations for immunocompromised or asplenic individuals, their close contacts, and healthcare professionals who come into contact with them.
