The reporting of work-related illnesses (WRI) is mandatory for all medical doctors (Article L.461-6 of the Social Security Code). WRI refers to all illnesses or symptoms that may be work-related and are not covered under occupational diseases. In response to underreporting of MCPs, the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), which became Santé publique France in May 2016, and the Occupational Health Inspection (IMT) of the Ministry of Labor have, since 2003, implemented a system for the epidemiological surveillance of MCPs among employees in the Pays-de-la-Loire region. The program has gradually expanded, with Auvergne joining the network in 2010. This document summarizes the results from the first half of 2015.
