Situation in Rhône-Alpes
Flu-like Illnesses As is the case nationwide, the flu epidemic continues to decline in our region. In weeks 11 and 12 (March 11–24), activity was considered moderate to high, with 98 and 138 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, below the epidemic threshold. As of March 24, 136 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care, including twelve deaths, were reported in Rhône-Alpes.
Acute DiarrheaData from the Sentinelles network indicated low activity in week 11 (March 10–16), with 89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The following week (March 17–23), activity increased to 175 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The figures remained below the epidemic threshold.
Chickenpox: Over the past two weeks (March 11–24), activity reported by the Sentinelles network rose from low to moderate, with incidence rates of 11 and 31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively.
