Key Points

  • Continued increase in vaccination uptake among infants subject to the expanded vaccination requirement:

    • 89.5% received a first dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+3.4 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 92.5% received the booster dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+2.6 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • But growth has leveled off for other vaccines:

    • 91.3% received a third dose of the hexavalent vaccine (+0.3 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 91.5% received a third dose of the pneumococcal vaccine (-0.4 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 93.7% received a first dose of the MMR vaccine (+0.4 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect:

    • +5.5 percentage points for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2006 (45.1%) compared to girls born in 2005 (39.6%)

    • Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups among those under 18

  • Increase in influenza vaccination coverage compared to the 2019-2020 season:

    • +4.7 percentage points among people aged 65 and older, a slight decrease compared to the 2020-2021 season
