Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes. Update as of December 3, 2017.

Update

Since October 1, 2017, 37 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning have been reported in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. While this figure was lower in October compared to previous years (due to mild temperatures for that time of year), it has risen sharply in November, coinciding with the arrival of cold weather. There were 23 cases in November this year, compared to 13 last year. With 9 cases since October 1, the Loire region has been particularly affected. During these 37 incidents, 147 people were exposed and 74 were transported to hospital emergency rooms. One death was reported. The victim was a person who had left their vehicle running in their garage.
