Since the start of the heat wave: following a gradual increase in heat-related medical calls across both networks (OSCOUR® and SOS Médecins), a decrease was observed yesterday (pending confirmation of complete data)

For yesterday (07/08):

  • 23 emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses; these visits mainly involved adults aged 45 and older (74%). The majority of these emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses were followed by hospitalization (61%).

  • 9 SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related illnesses; these consultations involved more children under 15 (n=5) than people aged 75 and older (n=3).
