Since the start of the heat wave: a gradual increase in calls for heat-related medical issues across both networks (OSCOUR® and SOS Médecins).

For yesterday (07/07):

  • 26 emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses; these visits mainly involved adults aged 45 and older (73%). The majority of these emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses were followed by hospitalization (62%).

  • 13 SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related illnesses; these consultations involved more children under 15 (n=7) than people aged 75 and older (n=3).
