Heat-related illnesses across all age groups on August 30 accounted for 0.37% of all emergency room visits (all causes, all ages) and 1.02% of all consultations (all causes, all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics.

For yesterday (August 30):

  • 14 emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses across the entire region; these visits primarily involved people aged 75 and older (64%). The vast majority of these emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses were followed by hospitalization (64% among people aged 75 and older).

  • 8 SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related illnesses, all involving adults.
