European Immunization Week 2014

Organized by the World Health Organization (WHO), European Immunization Week will take place from April 22 to 26, 2014, in nearly 200 countries around the world. France is participating in this initiative, coordinated by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the National Institute for Prevention and Health Education (http://www.semaine-vaccination.fr). In 2013, a new simplified vaccination schedule was introduced, featuring fewer shots for children and less frequent appointments for adults. To better control the diseases against which they provide protection, it is necessary to increase vaccination coverage for most of the vaccinations recommended in the French vaccination schedule. Updating vaccinations based on the new, updated vaccination schedule remains the national priority for 2014.
