Key Points

COVID-19

The resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic is confirmed, but the impact on hospitals remains low.

  • Increase in the regional incidence rate for the third consecutive week: 55 per 100,000 inhabitants in S43 (+12%)

  • Affects all age groups except those under 20 (among whom a sharp drop in testing activity during school holidays is observed) and the majority of departments in the region (except Drôme, Loire, and Haute-Loire)

  • Slight increase in new hospitalizations for the third consecutive week and stable admissions to intensive care for COVID-19 (data not consolidated due to the Monday, November 1 holiday)

  • Increase in vaccination coverage with at least one dose against COVID-19 (76.4%, +0.2 percentage points) and full vaccination (74.9%, +0.4 percentage points)

Gastroenteritis

  • Regional trends: on the rise

  • In hospital settings (Oscour® network emergency facilities): moderate activity

  • In private practice (SOS Médecins associations): low activity

Bronchiolitis

3rd week of the epidemic.

Flu

No flu epidemic. In S43: baseline levels of surveillance indicators (emergency department visits and SOS Médecins interventions for flu-like syndrome). Sporadic cases of confirmed flu have been detected since early September.

Arboviruses (dengue)

A new imported case of dengue was reported in October, bringing the total number of cases reported since the start of the enhanced surveillance season in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to 18, most of which were imported from Réunion.
