Influenza

5th epidemic week. During Week 04 (January 24–30, 2022), in inpatient care, according to data from the Oscour® network, hospital visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of influenza/influenza-like illness showed a slight decline (Figure 12). In Week 4, 170 emergency department visits for influenza/influenza-like illness were recorded, representing 0.4% of all visits across all age groups (0.5% in Week 3). Among these visits, 112 cases (65.9% vs. 59.9% in S03) were under 15 years of age, and 10 cases (5.9% vs. 5.2% in S03) were 65 years of age or older. Of the 170 visits, 16 were followed by hospitalization, representing a hospitalization rate of 9.4% for this diagnosis (8.9% for those under 15 and 40% for those aged 65 and older). Hospitalizations for influenza/influenza-like illness accounted for 0.2% of all hospitalizations in Week 3, stable compared to the previous week (0.3% in Week 3, Table 13).
