• Between 2021 and 2023, the annual age-standardized incidence rate of hospitalizations for ischemic heart disease in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (418 per 100,000 inhabitants) was lower than that of France (459 per 100,000 inhabitants), with an average of 26,472 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence in 2022 was 5.1% in the region, lower than that of France (5.6%). The annual standardized mortality rate (2020–2022) in the region (53 per 100,000 inhabitants) was also lower than the national rate (59 per 100,000 inhabitants).

• Between 2021 and 2023, the standardized incidence rate of patients hospitalized for heart failure in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (340 per 100,000 inhabitants) was comparable to that of France (344 per 100,000 inhabitants), with an average of 21,555 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence was 2.5% in 2022 in the region, equal to that of France (2.5%).
