Key Points

COVID-19

After nearly two months of decline, COVID-19 surveillance indicators showed a slight increase in Week 41 (October 11–17, 2021) in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

  • 8% increase in the regional incidence rate: 42 per 100,000 inhabitants

  • Haute-Loire has the highest incidence rate (72 per 100,000 inhabitants, rising sharply), followed by Haute-Savoie (54 per 100,000) and Rhône (53 per 100,000)

  • Slight increase in new hospitalizations and admissions to intensive care for COVID-19, but continued decline in the number of hospital deaths

  • Increase in vaccination coverage for at least one dose against COVID-19 (75.9%, +0.3 percentage points) and full vaccination (74.2%, +0.5 percentage points)

Gastroenteritis

  • Regional trends: stable

  • In hospital settings (Oscour® network emergency facilities): moderate activity

  • In private practice (SOS Médecins associations): low activity

Bronchiolitis

Transitioning to an epidemic.

Flu

No flu epidemic. Baseline levels of surveillance indicators in week 41 (emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls for flu-like symptoms).
