Epidemiological Situation

  • In Martinique, private practice surveillance indicators have been rising for several consecutive weeks, with:

    • an estimated number of clinically suggestive cases of acute gastroenteritis over the past two weeks that, for the first time during the 2019–2020 season, has exceeded the expected peak values. Whether this constitutes an epidemic will be confirmed in the coming weeks;

    • a steadily increasing number of SOS Médecins visits, with more than 300 visits for gastroenteritis, representing nearly 10% of all visits made by the SOS association over the past four weeks.
