The dengue epidemic continues throughout French Guiana. The number of clinically suggestive cases and the number of biologically confirmed cases remain at high levels despite a downward trend observed since early May. Serotypes DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4 are circulating simultaneously, with a strong predominance of serotype DEN-2. Given the overall epidemiological situation, it is important to emphasize the importance of eliminating larval breeding sites and taking personal precautions against mosquitoes.
