Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

From November through January (S2012-45 to 2013-03), influenza-like illness activity remained moderate. The IPG’s CNR Influenzae identified viruses A, A/H1N1pdm2009, A(H3N2), and B in tests conducted over the past few weeks.France and the French West Indies are currently experiencing an epidemic, which suggests an increase in influenza activity in French Guiana in the coming weeks, driven by frequent travel between these regions. Recommendations regarding the seasonal vaccine therefore remain in effect.
