Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Epidemiological surveillance indicators for influenza show that there is no ongoing influenza epidemic in Guadeloupe. Since November 2013, the number of influenza-like illnesses seen in general practice (in private clinics) has been rising slowly but remains below the maximum expected values for this time of year. No influenza virus has been identified in Guadeloupe by the Pointe-à-Pitre University Hospital or the Pasteur Institute of French Guiana.
