Influenza Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of January 11, 2019.

Epidemiological Situation

In Martinique, influenza surveillance indicators are on the rise but remain below the expected seasonal levels. The A(H3N2) virus was identified in late December 2018 in community practice, and two type A influenza viruses were isolated in early January 2019 at the Martinique University Hospital. One severe case requiring intensive care has been reported (type A).⇒ Early signs of viral circulation in the region
