Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The flu epidemic continues in Guadeloupe. The circulating viruses identified are of the A/H3N2 and B types. Currently, in mainland France, the widespread circulation of a new variant of the seasonal H3N2 virus—which is poorly covered by the vaccine—calls for continued vigilance, particularly among the most vulnerable individuals.
