Epidemiological Situation of Influenza in French Guiana. Update as of November 14, 2012.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

During September and October, activity related to influenza-like illness remained moderate. An estimated 3,276 consultations for influenza-like illness were conducted by private practitioners and CDPSs during this period. Data from the IPG’s CNR Influenzae indicate that only the B virus is circulating. The activity described above is likely linked to the circulation of other respiratory viruses. Furthermore, no epidemic has been reported in the Antilles.
