Epidemiological Situation of Dengue Fever in Saint Martin. Update as of January 29, 2013.
Situation Analysis
All epidemiological indicators currently point to an increased risk of an epidemic in St. Martin. The Expert Committee on Infectious and Emerging Diseases was consulted and considers this situation to be the onset of a confirmed epidemic, as described in the Dengue Action Plan. The Dengue Epidemic Management Committee, which met on January 28, endorsed this recommendation. The epidemiological situation regarding dengue is therefore in the confirmed epidemic phase in St. Martin as of the second week of January.
