Epidemiological Situation of Dengue Fever in Guadeloupe. Update as of June 8, 2012.
Situation Analysis
Between early April and late May 2012, the weekly number of dengue-like cases exceeded the maximum expected values for the period only occasionally, for a single week. The number of biologically confirmed cases remained extremely low. The same trend has been observed since the beginning of 2011. No dengue outbreaks have been detected.The epidemiological situation of dengue in Guadeloupe corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage Dengue: Sporadic transmission
From week 2012-14 to week 2012-22:
298 clinically suggestive cases of dengue
8 biologically confirmed cases of dengue
1 hospitalization
2011 season: no epidemic
