Epidemiological Situation of Dengue Fever in Guadeloupe. Update as of June 21, 2013.
Situation Analysis
All epidemiological indicators point to an increase in viral circulation over the past five weeks. Despite an outbreak detected in June, this increase is widespread but particularly affects Grande Terre. The DENV-1 and DENV-4 serotypes are co-circulating, but DENV-1 has remained highly predominant. This situation corresponds to the seasonal resurgence phase: Phase 2—Level 2 of the Dengue Psage. A Committee of Experts on Infectious and Emerging Diseases will meet shortly to potentially decide on a new phase change.
