Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
Circulation of the chikungunya virus has become widespread in Saint Martin and has intensified in Saint Barthélemy. These territories remain in Phase 3a of the Psage* chikungunya: Epidemic Situation. In Martinique, the virus continues to circulate actively. The number of adult emergency room visits has increased significantly over the past week. Martinique remains in Phase 3a: Epidemic Situation. In Guadeloupe, the number of affected municipalities continues to rise. However, this department remains in Phase 2a of the Psage: moderate local transmission. In French Guiana, the number of reported suspected cases is increasing. No local transmission of the virus has been detected to date. French Guiana remains in Phase 1 (enhanced) of the Psage.
