Situation Analysis
All epidemiological surveillance indicators point to the epidemic continuing, though it is currently in a phase of slow decline. This epidemic remains widespread across the entire mainland Guadeloupe and nearby islands. The situation still corresponds to Phase 4, Level 1 of the Psage Dengue* (confirmed epidemic). Given the epidemiological situation, it is important to emphasize the importance of eliminating larval breeding sites and taking personal precautions against mosquitoes. In the event of sudden onset of fever, it is recommended to consult your primary care physician. To prevent the spread of chikungunya, this is particularly important for individuals exhibiting one or more symptoms suggestive of dengue accompanied by joint pain.
