COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique as of November 5, 2021

Key Points

Despite a testing rate that remained stable and high, the incidence rate continued its slow decline in Martinique. However, it remains more than twice the alert threshold. Last week, incidence rates rose among those aged 20–29, 40–49, and 50–59. These increases may be linked in part to clusters identified mainly in the workplace; only one family cluster (related to a gathering) was identified during week 43. In hospitals, the number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and the number of hospital admissions are declining.
