COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Martinique as of November 20, 2020

Key Points

The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic continues to decline (effective reproduction number significantly below 1 as of November 20). The positivity rate and incidence rate were decreasing in week 46 (down 14% and 30% compared to the previous week, respectively). A slowdown in the epidemic was observed in all age groups except among 10- to 19-year-olds, where the trend has been stable for the past two weeks. The highest incidence was recorded among 40- to 49-year-olds. The number of new hospitalizations for COVID-19 was also declining, including admissions to intensive care units.
