West Nile Virus Infections
High-Risk Period for West Nile Virus Infection
- A total of 9 human cases have been identified in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region (+5 cases compared to the last report): 5 cases in Bouches-du-Rhône and 4 cases in Vaucluse. Several equine cases have been diagnosed in these same departments as well as in Var.
Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika
- Since the start of enhanced surveillance (May 1), 55 imported cases have been identified in the region: 20 cases of chikungunya (an increase of 1 case compared to the previous week) and 35 cases of dengue (an increase of 1).
- No locally acquired cases have been detected in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, but several outbreaks have been detected in mainland France: 2 dengue outbreaks and one chikungunya outbreak in Occitanie, one dengue outbreak and 2 chikungunya outbreaks in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
