Key Points
Leptospirosis
- The seasonal increase in leptospirosis cases, which peaked in March, has since been on a downward trend. To date, 207 locally acquired cases have been reported. A second death linked to leptospirosis has been reported, and investigations are underway to determine whether it was caused by the disease.
Dengue and Chikungunya
- 53 cases of chikungunya and 325 cases of dengue have been detected since the beginning of the year. The weekly number of dengue cases is declining.
Flu-like illness
- Hospital health indicators for children under 15 are rising due to active rhinovirus circulation. The positivity rate for influenza viruses is increasing.
Bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age
- Health indicators are stable.
Acute gastroenteritis
- Increase in emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis.
COVID-19
- No health impact in hospitals and no circulation of SARS-CoV-2
Smallpox B (Mpox)
- During the month of June, 10 cases imported from Madagascar were reported, bringing the total to 25 cases (20 of which were imported) since the beginning of the year.
