Key Points

Malaria

• Eight new cases were reported in Week 35: seven imported cases and one under investigation;
• Since the beginning of 2026, 343 cases of malaria have been recorded, including 76 locally acquired cases and 238 imported cases, mostly from the Comoros.

Acute Respiratory Infections

• Influenza: The influenza A(H1) virus has begun circulating, with 7 positive test results in week 35;
• Bronchiolitis: A decrease in emergency department visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age at the CHM over the past two weeks.

Acute gastroenteritis

• Decrease in the number of positive rotavirus A test results in week 35, with 9 positive results;
• Nine emergency department visits at the CHM for acute gastroenteritis were recorded in week 35, including three subsequent hospitalizations;
• Acute rotavirus A gastroenteritis has been in the pre-epidemic phase since Week 34.

Typhoid fever

• One new case was reported in week 35, bringing the total to 10 cases recorded since the beginning of the year.

Dengue

• One new case of dengue was reported in week 35, bringing the total number of cases recorded since the beginning of the year to 13.
