Mortality
- The number of deaths observed in S15 was 1,325, lower than the expected number of deaths (n = 1,437, or -7.8%) but remained within the fluctuation range for a region with a population of 12.4 million. People aged 65 and older accounted for 83.8% of the deaths.
- This number was 1,287 in S16, also lower than the expected number of deaths (n = 1,419).
- The number of electronically certified deaths was 995 in S15 and 992 in S16. People over 65 accounted for 85.6% of deaths in S15 and 83.4% of deaths in S16.
COVID-19
- SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: In S17, an overall downward trend in the level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation in wastewater was observed. The intensity of viral circulation remained low.
- Data regarding SOS Médecins calls and emergency department visits were not available for S17.
