Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • Moderate activity.

ENT conditions 

  • Moderate activity related to ENT conditions (data not shown). In S18, among children under 5 years of age, ENT conditions accounted for 12% of emergency department visits and 47% of SOS Médecins consultations. Decrease in the detection rate of rhinoviruses/enteroviruses by the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital (positivity rates of 10% (2/20), respectively).

Chickenpox

  • Decrease in SOS Médecins consultations and stability in emergency department visits.

Mortality 

  • Since late January 2026, the weekly number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE has remained within the usual range of fluctuation (all ages and among those aged 65 and older). An increase above the threshold was observed in both age groups from S01 to S04-2026 (for both age groups).
