  • 2,317 emergency department visits, with an average proportion of 18.1% that reached 20.4% at the peak of the outbreak: this proportion has been declining for the past two seasons due to immunization campaigns for new vaccines and vaccination of pregnant women
  • 888 hospitalizations following an emergency department visit, 45% of which were infants under 3 months of age

Influenza

  • A 9-week epidemic, peaking in Week 52 of 2025. Moderate intensity in primary care: 10,103 SOS Médecins calls, accounting for 14.9% of activity
  • Significant impact on hospitals (12,537 emergency department visits, accounting for 2.9% of activity), despite a shorter epidemic duration than in 2024–2025
  • The hospitalization rate following an emergency department visit was 24.5%, higher than in 2024–2025, reflecting the severity of the outbreak

COVID-19

  • No winter outbreak: an autumn wave occurred between S36-2025 and S44-2025
  • Minimal impact on primary care (maximum share of activity at 3.9% for SOS Médecins calls) and in hospitals (share of activity in emergency departments remained below 1%)
