Office of Communications and Community Engagement

The Directorate of Communication and Dialogue with Society is responsible for promoting Santé publique France’s work: scientific outreach, press and media relations, internal and institutional communication, and engagement with stakeholders and users. It safeguards the agency’s image and ensures the visibility and clarity of its missions.

The Directorate of Communication and Dialogue with Society plans the agency’s communication strategy: it defines key communication opportunities and priorities, highlights the results of studies and surveys, and supports public prevention and information initiatives. For each audience and at every stage, it precisely identifies messages and delivery channels to anticipate communication timelines and promote the image of Santé publique France under all circumstances.

It is specifically responsible for scientific outreach, oversees the editorial direction of the agency’s publications, and ensures access to the knowledge it produces, which it organizes, disseminates, and makes accessible to the general public. It also maintains close ties with the media to keep the agency’s work in the public eye and respond effectively to press inquiries. Finally, it ensures Santé publique France’s online visibility by managing a leading website on public health issues in France and through a strategic presence on social media.

The Directorate of Communication and Dialogue with Society comprises three units and a support team:

  • Institutional Outreach Unit

  • Press Relations Unit

  • Scientific Outreach Unit
