Depression affects three million French people.

Three million French people¹ have suffered from depression over the past twelve months, according to the INPES Health Barometer survey. And eight million people have experienced depressive symptoms that, however, did not meet the criteria for a diagnosed depressive episode. Women and those aged 20–25 are the most affected. Hence the need to improve prevention, education, and treatment.
