Key Points

• Since January 1, 2026, 113 cases of measles have been reported, including one new case in August.
• Of these cases, 41 (36%) were hospitalized (including 2 in the intensive care unit), and 17 cases (15%) developed complications (including 8 cases of pneumonia). No deaths were reported.
• The median age of cases is 20.4 years. The three most affected age groups were adults aged 40 and older (15%), adults aged 20–24 (14%), and children aged 1–4 (13%).
• Among the individuals targeted for vaccination (aged over one year and born since 1980), for whom vaccination status was known (n=76), 41 (54%) were not up to date on their vaccinations, while 35 (46%) had received two doses.
• In France, 34 departments (34%) reported at least one case during the period. The five departments with the highest number of reported cases are: Yvelines (10%), Hauts-de-Seine (9%), Moselle (8%), Haute-Savoie (7%), and Paris (7%). No cases were reported in the overseas departments and regions.
• During the period, 16 clusters of cases (groups of epidemiologically linked cases) were reported to the Regional Health Agencies (ARS) (provisional, unconsolidated data), totaling 70 cases. Of these, 6 clusters involved 5 or more cases. No outbreaks are currently active.
