Quality of life, mental health, and the environment.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), quality of life is: "an individual’s perception of their place in life, within the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards, and concerns." This concept is reflected in the Duke Health Scale, a measurement tool recognized for its quantitative contribution to assessing quality of life. Quality of life can also be approached in a more narrow sense by focusing on the quality of individuals’ environment, their mental health, and their working conditions. Thus, one can examine both the environmental awareness of the French population and their perceptions of suicide.
