Week 39 (September 21–27, 2020):

• In the Indian Ocean region, during the 5th week of school in Mayotte and ^the 6^{th week} in Réunion, the number of emergency department visits for asthma among children under 15, as well as the proportion of hospitalizations following these visits, are declining (67 vs. 111 visits and 19% vs. 36% of hospitalizations in week 36). The proportion of emergency department visits for asthma among children is also down this week but remains high compared to previous years (8% vs. 5% between 2017 and 2019).

• Nationally, during the fourth week of school in mainland France, asthma-related visits in children under 15 are down in emergency departments (-34%, or -930 visits) as well as in the SOS Médecins network (-26%, or -133 cases).

The observed levels of care-seeking are comparable to those of the past three years.
