Health Monitoring of Asthma - Back-to-School 2019. Weekly Update for October 1, 2019.
In week 39 (September 23–29),
nationwide, following a sharp increase observed in week 37, there has been a decline in the number of asthma-related visits to emergency departments (-21%) and SOS Médecins clinics (-23%) among children under 15. The number of visits is lower than in the previous two years. The proportion of hospitalizations following emergency department visits for asthma is also declining.
In the Indian Ocean, visits to emergency departments as well as hospitalizations following visits for asthma are also declining among children under 15 years of age.
