Call for Applications for Experts to Serve on the Registry Evaluation Committee

The National Cancer Institute, Santé publique France, and the National Institute of Health and Medical Research are issuing a call for applications to select qualified individuals to participate in the evaluation of registries as members of the Registry Evaluation Committee (CER). Responsibilities of the Registry Evaluation Committee

The Registry Evaluation Committee, established by Santé publique France, the National Institute of Health and Medical Research, and the National Cancer Institute, has the following responsibilities:

  • to evaluate registries, taking into account both their research and public health missions; it must develop a set of guidelines and define the procedure for evaluating registries,

  • issue recommendations on the operations and research and public health activities of the evaluated registries,

  • monitor the implementation of its recommendations,

  • submit to the Strategic Committee on Registries a statement of needs, particularly with regard to epidemiology and prevention and care policies.

It comprises a maximum of twelve qualified individuals selected by a jury and then appointed by joint decision of the Director General of Santé publique France, the President and CEO of the National Institute of Health and Medical Research, and the President of the National Cancer Institute, for a term of three years, renewable once.

Application Guidelines

Selection Criteria

Only complete applications will be considered.

  • The selection of applications for the CER will be based on a review of the entire application package, taking into account the information provided in the cover letter, the applicants’ experience, and their alignment with the desired skills, as well as an analysis of conflicts of interest.

  • The selection of applications for the CER is carried out by a jury composed of representatives from Santé publique France, INCa, and Inserm.

  • The Director General of Santé publique France, the President and CEO of Inserm, and the President of INCa will approve the selection of CER members.

  • Each candidate will be personally informed of the outcome of their application.

Application Requirements

The application package includes the following items:

  • a professional and personal information form specifying, in particular, professional and personal contact information, an email address, and a cell phone number;

  • a cover letter (maximum one double-sided page);

  • a condensed resume (maximum one double-sided page);

  • a list of the most significant publications from the past five years in the field of public health or in the areas covered by the registries (maximum of 15 references);

  • a public declaration of interests (DPI) to be completed on the dedicated DPI website.
