Sexually transmitted infections
Les infections sexuellement transmissibles (IST) se transmettent principalement lors des rapports sexuels. Il existe de nombreux virus ou bactéries transmissibles de cette manière.
Santé publique France, in partnership with ANRS - Emerging Infectious Diseases, is launching the third edition of the “Rapport au sexe” Health-Sexuality-Prevention Survey, running from February 26 to April 9, 2021, targeting men who have sex with men.
HIV and STI prevention, testing, and sexual orientation—the Sexosafe website addresses issues related to sexuality among men.
Despite significant progress in prevention in recent years, the epidemiological situation regarding HIV and STIs remains a cause for concern among men who have sex with men. They account for 43% of HIV-positive cases reported between January 2019 and September 2020 and approximately 80% of diagnosed syphilis cases and gonorrhea cases reported in 2019 by the RésIST network.

Furthermore, for over a year now, the coronavirus health crisis has been disrupting everyone’s daily lives, whether at work, when going out, or in terms of emotional and sexual relationships.
It is in this context that Santé publique France is conducting another round of the “Rapport au sexe” Health-Sexuality-Prevention survey, from February 26 to April 9, 2021, with the support of the National Agency for Research on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis – Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS – Emerging Infectious Diseases) and in partnership with Inserm Unit 1137 (IAME) and SESTIM. The survey relies on a 100% digital recruitment method. It is primarily conducted on Facebook and on the Sexosafe website.
The ERAS survey has been conducted via an online questionnaire every two years since 2017 and aims to better understand the prevention strategies of men who have sex with men.
The results of this survey are used to tailor prevention messaging for men who have sex with men, helping them adopt various prevention tools and adapt prevention services to their needs.
The 2021 edition will also help us understand the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on lifestyles. The initial results will be released in late 2021.
All you need to do is:
Be a man aged 18 or older, residing in France (mainland and overseas departments), who has sex with other men.
Complete the questionnaire at www.enquete-prevention.fr. All participation is anonymous and voluntary.
Sexosafe.fr is a website by Santé publique France. It is primarily aimed at all men who have sex with men, providing them with comprehensive and practical information on all their health and sexuality issues. In 2020, the website was revamped with new content that has a more positive tone and is organized into three main sections: my body, my life, my heart.
