HIV prevention strategies for migrants.

This special issue presents the papers and discussions from the 68th Meeting of Crips Ile-de-France, which focused on HIV prevention among migrant populations. In the first section, Romain Mbiribindi presents Afrique Avenir’s experience in carrying out initiatives tailored to the realities of the communities in which the association operates (social events, flyers, posters, calendars...), this presentation is supported by the results of a satisfaction survey on the 2007 inter-organizational calendar [Afrique Avenir, APA (African Positive Association), Crips Ile-de-France] conducted by Gilbert Ndziessi; in the second part, Barbara Bertini discusses GRDR’s experience in supporting the implementation of projects carried out by and for migrants; she also addresses the messages conveyed by their video “AIDS, a Women’s Challenge”; finally, in the third part, Charles Piquoin recounts his experience as a storyteller; his presentation is complemented by Charlotte Melman’s discussion of the potential use of storytelling as an awareness-raising tool for all audiences, whether migrants or others.[Publisher’s summary]
