Characteristics of pediatric AIDS cases reported in France as of December 31, 1989

This study aims to analyze the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of 238 cases of pediatric AIDS (children under the age of 15) and to identify, based on mother-to-child transmission, two patterns of disease progression in children. Tables show the distribution of pediatric AIDS cases by mode of transmission, age group, and other factors.
