Meningococcal meningitis and meningococcemia in 1994
In 1994, 365 cases of meningococcal meningitis or meningococcemia were reported via Minitel to the Directorate General of Health. At the same time, the detailed reporting form (mandatory paper-based report) was submitted in 311 cases. Of these cases, 279 met the reporting criteria... The decline in the number of reported cases observed from 1992 to 1993 appears to be confirmed (368 in 1992, 348 in 1993, and 279 in 1994).
