Consolidated results of Flash Survey #26 (September 28, 2021)
438 samples from 17 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (25.9% of the 5,546 positive cases reported today), including 1,289 with an interpretable result.
The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:
In mainland France: 100% of variants 21A/I/J (Delta, B.1.617.2, AY*, first identified in India)
In Guadeloupe: sample size too small to produce interpretable results; however, Delta accounts for all 8 sequenced samples with an interpretable result.
In Martinique: sample size too small to produce interpretable results.
In French Guiana: no participation in Flash Survey #26
In Réunion: 100% Delta variants
In Mayotte: sample size too small to produce interpretable results.
