Consolidated results of Flash Survey #23 (September 7, 2021)
3,401 samples from 18 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (29.1% of the 11,686 positive cases reported today), including 3,067 with an interpretable result.
The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:
In mainland France:
99.9% of 21A variants (Delta, B.1.617.2, first identified in India)
< 0.1% of 20I variants (Alpha+/-484K/Q, V1, B.1.1.7, first identified in the United Kingdom)
< 0.1% of 20A variants (Gamma, V3, P.1, first identified in Brazil)
In the Overseas Territories:
In Guadeloupe: 100% Delta variants
In Martinique: 97.2% Delta variants and 2.8% Alpha variants
In French Guiana: 100% Delta variants
In Réunion: 97.9% Delta variants and 2.1% Beta variants
In Mayotte: Sample size too small to produce interpretable results; however, Delta accounts for all 7 sequenced samples with an interpretable result.
